Life can be daunting and intimidating sometimes, but it doesn’t mean you and I need to stop pursuing that dream and do whatever is possible, and *by any means necessary to make that dream into reality.

But the thought of some people who tend to quit the long race by going through a scary phase which includes; having negative emotions about yourself, or self-loathing for a long time without conceding to snap out of it, and knowingly it is possible to get away from that sad-cruel world since I was among those people, baffles me a lot. Yet I understand we’re different and we tend to process differently, but the question is until when? Because the fact is the world keeps on spinning, keeps on moving and it doesn’t wait for anyone to catch up.

Yes, I agree that sometimes we can lose sight of what’s important in life but over the years, there are things that I have come to always remember to cherish and of which I figured that without these things I’m just fooling and not being honest with myself. And if I’m not being honest with myself I am completely fooling people who are around me.

So, here are few yet common things that we mostly forget and of which they turn out to be the most important elements that we ought to always remember no matter what.

1.  Remember to Be Yourself.

This can take some people many years to establish their own identity. But in the end it will bring them back to just being their normal selves.

In the end you realize it’s pointless to pretend to be someone that you’re not and eventually it becomes tiresome to keep up with the act.

But once you do, you figure out what a rewarding and fulfilling life you can give yourself by establishing boundaries, focusing on a direction and living according to your values and beliefs.

2.  Remember Everything You Have to Offer.

Think about what it means to ‘give’ to another person and to offer them all that you have, but also to realize some of your amazing qualities and traits which you didn’t even know you possessed along the way.

This is when you truly start to realize all that you’re capable of and you learn so much about yourself. And during that process don’t forget to give yourself the credit you deserve.

And even if you haven’t found this inner person in you yet, still don’t think you don’t have it in you because you do, it’s just waiting deep inside and will come out when you’re ready and at that stage.

3. Remember Who You Are.

You should always remember who you are because there’s only one of you in the whole world, making you incredibly unique. And that includes where you’re from, your morals, your values, your standards and everything else that equals you.

You owe it to yourself to remember all of these things because they are and will always be what makes up you as a person and what makes you who you are today.

4. Remember Everything You Deserve.

We are often our biggest critics and we are the hardest on ourselves, but at the end of the day, everyone deserves certain things like happiness, love and peace.

“Everyone deserves to have their own happy ending.”

Always remember all the things you deserve in life by means sticking to your standards and not settling for anything short of what you deserve

5. Remember Perfection is Unattainable.

We only have one short life so please don’t spend it trying to be the image of perfection.

We’re all authentic, genuine and real people; and these are what make us human.

“We need to have flaws and weaknesses so that we have areas to work on and ultimately improve.”

We need to be able to make mistakes so that we can learn from them afterwards.

We need to live without feeling a whole lot of pressure to live up to the unrealistic expectation that is perfection.

6. Remember to Speak from the Heart.

Always be completely honest and genuine with others by speaking from the heart and saying exactly how you feel, you don’t have to hold back.

Be proud to speak out your mind with all honesty while others choose to stay in the dark because there’s no shame in saying how you feel in any situation or better yet there’s no shame in voicing out your opinions and views even if others tend to disagree with you.

“…and quite frankly, there’s no reason why your voice shouldn’t be heard by everyone.”

7. Remember to Be Open-minded.

Being open-minded is a choice to see what the world has to offer in a positive way, and to retain wide range of perspective while you give yourself the chance to new ideas and be a part of bearing different life experiences instead of holding on to the same kind of things that may seem outmoded.

Since the world is an ever changing planet, you have to adjust to it. In this way, it will open many doors to you and lead you somewhere amazing where you will never want to look back.

“Get into the habit of seeing every aspect of something, so that you’re able to evaluate situations with a critical eye and with a clear mind.”

*By any means necessary – I’m referring in using ethical approach assisted by codes of conduct which doesn’t bring harm in the end to any particular party associated.
