In Milan, ITALY

I know this post is way long over due… But finally i get to share with you the incredible moments that i had in my life when i went to Europe and explored many countries over there! Firstly it started as i boarded with my friends from Nairobi, Kenya and made a short stop to Dubai, United Arab Emirates since we were having a connecting flight to Malpensa airport in  Milan, Italy. I couldn’t wait to get there and see for myself the great city of Milan!!! Enough talking now let’s get to the good stuff…PICTURES!!!Time for Milan exploration!!!

We started with a grand castle called ‘Castello Sforzesco’ located in northern Italy. It was built in the 15th century by Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan, on the remains of a 14th-century fortification. Later it was renovated and enlarged, in the 16th and 17th centuries. It was one of the largest citadels in Europe. Extensively rebuilt by Luca Beltrami in 1891–1905, it now houses several of the city’s museums and art collections.

The monument in the middle of Piazza della Scala is of Leonardo Da Vinci by Pietro Magni (1872). Around its base, visitors can admire the statues of the four disciples of the great artist and scientist: Antonio Boltraffio, Marco d’Oggiono, Andrea Solari and Cesare da Sesto.

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is one of the world’s oldest shopping malls. Housed within a four-story double arcade in central Milan. The Galleria is named after Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of the Kingdom of Italy. It was designed in 1861 and built by Giuseppe Mengoni between 1865 and 1877.

I have never seen such a huge mall in my entire life. The way it has been built is so grand and sophisticated. There most all designer shops in there!!! It is so beautiful, and I gotta say this place is among my favorite place I have visited in Milan.

Oh, Milan… I’m definitely gonna miss you!!! I certainly enjoyed every bit of moment during my stay here. The people are so friendly and welcoming. BTW Italian men are HOT!!! 😉

I’m sorry for not displaying most pictures, since I got like a gazillion of them. And I had a hard time choosing the few shown.
Be on lookout for more places that I have been in the ‘Travel’ category.

Have a successful week to you all.
